Jim Shad has over 25 years of diverse experience within the healthcare industry, including over 10 years serving as a Co-Founder and Clinical Coordinator for Opiate Detox Institute. He has a clinical background in critical care nursing and addiction medicine.
Jim has extensive experience working with patients undergoing medically supervised opioid detoxification and treatment for opioid dependence, including patient assessment, treatment coordination, medication management, patient education, peri-procedural care, hemodynamic monitoring, receptor stabilization, addiction recovery, and post-treatment planning.
- Significant experience in the management of chronic pain patients, including non-opioid medication management and coordination of interventional pain management injection procedures and physical thaerapy for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
- Dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse with proven strengths in acute and critical patient care, peri-anesthesia nursing, IV sedation, airway management, patient stabilization, post-anesthesia recovery, staff development, and patient advocacy.
- Clinical training and certifications encompassing Peri-Anesthesia Nursing, IV Sedation with Airway Management, Critical Care Nursing, and Acute Care Patient Stabilization and Recovery.
- Extensive administrative and clinical referral experience, including patient admissions, assessment, treatment coordination, referrals, medication reconciliation, patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care for patients in multidisciplinary and multi-specialty healthcare settings.
- Experienced in the clinical management and monitoring of medically complex patients requiring close observation, airway and hemodynamic monitoring.
